The Forgotten Plane Crash into the Monongahalea River near Mckeesport Pa.

Many know the story and legend of the infamous B25 bomber that went into the Mon River ,

But many forget there was another crash of a civilian airliner

A Johnson Airliner  ran out of fuel on its way to Allegheny County Airport in December 23,1954

killing 10 of  28 army  veterans on board . When it ran out of fuel .

So now when some one says they saw a plane pulled out of river which one did they See?

The one in Hazelwood Pittsburgh or one near Mckeesport ?

You can see how people can get confused because they both happened in mon both when it was cold and snowy.

So did they really see the B25 taken out secretly or the Contracted Johnson Pane?

Strange Industrial ruins in Beaver County Pa

As you ride down Pa 51 thru Fallston  you will see a small bridge and a sign for Littel steel and when you cross the bridge you will see this strange landscape looks almost bombed out and then a stand alone what looks like a once square shapped  fancy office building for what ever was there

The building has very fancy brick work details  and entrance on it for an industrial building which helps give us a clue as to what went on here.

This was the location of the once famous  Colonial Clay Products Factory

Known for the finest brick in the area you can find it all over even in some of the old original brick streets in some towns .

Sadly however as the need for bricks lessened and EPA  pollution regulations came into place almost all the brick manufacturers in area went out of business.

I wish they would move and fix up this historic office instead of letting it rot.
