The Mysterious Bride Mural along Penn Ave.
As you travel down Penn Ave in the E. Liberty section of Pittsburgh you will see a beautiful full size Veil of Mystery Mural on the side of a home.
Once threatened by a fire which broke out in row homes attached to the Mural home .
It is an enduring mystery.
Is this a bride running away from a possible marriage or is it a bride running to tell her parents she is getting married or has already eloped or did she forget something on way to the ceremony

Unfortunately we will never know.
Painted in 1995 by Artist Judy Penzer she tragically lost her life soon after being a passenger
on the doomed Flight 800 which exploded mid air.
Luckily thou dedicated volunteers have managed to save the mural and keep its vibrant colors.

Did Abraham Lincoln Secretly Visit Beaver county?
Recently a photo has emerged on the Internet after much hard work by Historians in beaver County Pa. that shows a possible image of Abraham Lincoln aboard a canal Boat The Jack Boyle which ran thru Beaver
County and into Ohio.
Along the Sandy and Beaver Canal it ran 136 miles and eventually linked to the Erie Canal.
While several members of Lincolns Washington Staff appear to be identified in the Picture
They have not been able to verify it is Lincoln in the picture . But it is highly possible it could be because he was known to travel incognito and quietly so Confederate Operatives could not assassinate or kidnap him.
We know he was in the are a couple times including visiting Pittsburgh and staying over nite at the long Gone Monongahela House Hotel. the bedroom furniture where he stayed was lost for many years and is now on display at the Heinz History Center.
What better way to sneak into an area than canal boat.
So as historians dig we may well have the truth some day.
Natural Gas Fracking activity in Greene County Pa. is stirring up alot of Paranormal Activity
The Natural Gas industry has come to dominate the SWPA area providing over 100K jobs .
Many new Wells are being drilled in Remote Greene County on lower left corner of Pa.
With this activity it has been causing a large amount of Paranormal Activity as well on these remote well Pad Sites.
Water Tank Drivers in Avella area have reported seeing Big Foot activity's on remote back roads some too afraid to drive at night.
On a Rice Energy Well Pad near Waynesburg a crew thought some one was playing a joke when a women's screams where being heard every evening and a headless women in white dress was spotted in the woods until it got so bad crews refused to work overnight. locked themselves in trailer and took this picture out the trailers window
Another Well Pad site cry's of Native Americans have scared crews at night
So whats going on?
Well apparently these crews activity's are stirring up old spirits and legends that farmers reported many years ago and where forgotten.
But why Greene county other drilling activity's in surrounding county's seem to be unaffected or are just not being talked about .
It could be that the areas these drillers are working are so remote and little changed that their mere presence has disturbed the spirits .
What ever is going on I am sure we will be getting more reports as new areas are explored.

Much of what Al came up with really seemed to be way out there but then every once in a while he was right on the money.
Alan also believed he was not from this planet and in fact was abducted and communicated with Gray Aliens .
Thou he died of Covid Pneumonia there are still some questions to be answered so he left this world as he lived it an Enigma.

The Mythical Pa. Creature known as the Jackalope
Yes the Jackalope takes a special place in mythical beasts in Pa. almost every Gun and Sportsman shop in Northwest Pa at one time or another had a stuffed one hanging on its walls.
Very rare to spot in the woods the lucky hunter who got one was like bagging a Unicorn .
Described as a combination of a Rabbit with Horns They where said to be found deep in the dark forests of the Allegheny National Forrest .
Started as a Joke by some Brothers who where taxidermists in Wyoming who sold them they have been spotted all over the US

The Mysterious Scripture Rocks of Jefferson County near Brookville Pa was it Genius or Madness ? maybe a little of both
I was on my way up Pa 28 North to do an Forensic Electrical Inspection for an Insurance company in St Marys when I saw a sign for Scripture Rocks Heritage
Park .
I had no Idea it was so close to the highway but there it was when i finished my inspection I decided to stop on way back. It was a bright sunny warm day in Western Pa which we don't see too many of and Im glad i stopped but was disappointed .
The Park is not Handicapped Accessible and the trails are rough with large pebbles which greatly reduced my ability to check it out and I had to turn back due to being Crippled from a Construction Accident in 1992. i have little flex in my foot and it was Painful to walk the trail.
The other disappointing thing is the rocks with engravings are very hard to read how ever there are trail maps for a buck and placards at many of them with the biblical inscriptions which where completed in 1913. By a man some said was a genius while others say he was mad
The 65 Boulders which where engraved by Douglas M.Stahlman between 1910-1913
where his personal calling to god. and socio political beliefs.
He stayed on the site and built a small shelter he used while making the engravings after he let his wife die from a terrible illness which was treatable and landed him a stint in a mental institute.
He would again be committed to Dixmont State Hospital near Pittsburgh
where he would pass in 1942 .
If you do go be ready for rugged hiking and there is a picnic shelter as you enter the park .
