Is a popular W. Pa. Haunted Paranormal Attraction infested by a well known Demon . It appears so.

I for one was raised but no longer practice  Roman  Catholic  theology  so im very well acquainted with  the Devil,Satan  and Demons

That's why I will never step back into one particular place even if it is exorcised and cleansed  by Priests .

I believe the entity to be aware of is known as Zo Zo  who was summoned by previous dismissed  managers to gin up the paranormal activity in the place after violating rules specifically banning use of any kind of deviation in the rules of the buildings.

A rather nasty entity who is a dangerous trickster .who is summoned thru a Ouija Board

Read this info on Zo Zo and see if you agree because if you have been there then you now what i am talking about.

https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Zozo

The more I read about  and research him the more I am convinced he is there.

He is known to imitate  young children who claim they are scared or being mistreated by others

Known to throw people down steps or otherwise injure

Known to imitate visitors voices

Cause emotional stress to those you explore  etc etc etc.

I am not saying don't go there. Feel free to do so but if you do go . Take all precautions  you would to make sure there are no attachments.

Now demonologists may disagree with me but more and more of them are coming around to the same conclusion.

As with any paranormal attraction you should spiritually protect yourself .

The Legend of Walking Rosie in Monroevilles Rest Land Cemetery

I myself find  a cemetery a peaceful resting place that should always be revered . But there are always those who have to check them out for paranormal activity because of hauntings.

One such cemetery by me in Monroeville  Pa. Rest land Cemetery along Patton Extension Road  is supposedly haunted by a  Spirit known as Walking Rosie.

 http://hauntedhouses.com/pennsylvania/pittsburgh-cemetery/

Now I have been by it many times and stopped in a couple times . But never seen anything yet others claim on foggy nights and early mornings  to see the Lady in white. also soldiers and young children. and where talking more than a handful so there maybe something to it.

Of course there was a horrifying discovery of a young girls remains who was murdered  Beth Lynn  Barr  in woods nearby

https://whokilledbethbarr.wordpress.com/tag/walkin-rosie/

A mystery to this day who killed her. one suspect is long dead his name was Edward Edwards a notorious Serial Killer

But as the story goes if you go up to Rosies grave after dark and shine a light her apparition will appear.

well no one has produced a picture and this seems to be more legend than truth but who knows others claim they have seen many apparitions around the cemetery .

So this is one of those storys you will have to check out and conclude for yourself.

Stay Spooky my Friends

A Strange Fate of a Coal Mine with a history of Accidents and Explosions leads to worst Coal Mine Disaster in Pa history during Christmas Time

Many Infamous Coal Mine disasters seemed to always happen around Christmas Time when gas in mines would build to explosive levels and the Port Royal 2#  Mine portal in Rostraver Pa was no exception

In  June 1901  an explosion would trap 4 miners  luckily its was an off shift and mine was not full of workers but as rescuers with open flame lamps went into rescue them  they to would encounter an explosion  as well and the same would happen the next day as another team of rescuers went in the next day. 3 explosions in 3 days .

It would take 3 months to recover all those killed and in the end 16 rescuers and 4 miners died one never to be recovered. The body of John Prebble  still in the mine to this day.

The Pittsburgh Coal Company would permanently close the mine in October of 1901 and open what was thought to be a much safer mine  The Darr Mine  further up river but the worst disaster in coal mine history would happen In Pa on December 19  1907  just days before worst coal mine disaster in US the Monogah Mine Explosion.

1907 Would be the deadliest year in coal mining taking over 1000 men and boys  lives in multiple states

To this day the total number of those killed and still trapped in the mines is not known because often miners took sons and relatives into mines to work and they where not accounted for.

Today all that is left of Port Royal is this marker and a few foundations of what was the town of Port Royal.  which can be accessed from great allegehny passage bike trail.

Flowers and Ghosts . The Haunted Flower Shop location in Etna

In the 90s I did sub contracted telephone installation work for Avaya  Business Partner Phone Systems and one of the places I put a new updated system was  Micheal Blahas Flower Shop in Etna its a neat old building built in 1800s .

Thou Blahas has been in business for over 100 years it moved into its new location on Bridge street in 1991  after moving from a previous location up the street on Butler Street

The buildings owner Mr .Kevin Burke was dead serious when he told the new owner Dave Kornely who kept the Blaha name  for the flower shop that it was haunted .

Yes while I was there I got to meet the mischievous  Peter who messed with me trying to get the new phones working  but I did not hear or see him. I had all kind of problems I normally did not have setting up the phone system.

So who is Peter ? well according to the story the whole front and back buildings where a one time hotel and bordello  then a bar and restaurant

. When it was a bordello in 1920's a  worker there had an illegitimate son named Peter

who perished in a fire in the attic of the back building.

Now is there any truth to the story I don't know I have not had time to track it down .

But many claim Peter has done all kind of mischievous things around there. but after a spiritual cleansing of the building his presence has not been felt.

So was Peter messing with me or was it just bad wiring etc. I guess we will never know. But a grizzly Murder Occurred right by there when a man was shot and killed very brutally in 70s.  whose murder has never been solved.

and about 3 blocks away on main St. in Sharpsburg an apartment building I worked  in is said to be haunted by a well loved maintenance man who was brutally murdered and found in basement hall

A secret hidden apartment with 5 ft high ceilings .

I have a realty customer who buys old apartment buildings and fixes them up and makes them habitable.

Recently he purchased a  a very rundown building in the South Hills of Pittsburgh in a very prominent community .

Needless to say the local Code Enforcement where ecstatic he was going to clean up this property.

But unknown to them and my customer was a  small secret apartment with just 5 ft ceilings you access off a boiler room stairway.

At 6 ft tall I had to crouch down to even fit in the rooms which where very small . The apartment had Cable TV  and internet  a small kitchen stall for a toilet and separate stall for a tiny shower  but the person occupying it had already moved out .

You never would have suspected this apartment was there in the Boiler / laundry room  because you had to go up a set of metal steps which looked like it was the back door for one of the 9 apartments.

Neeedless to say it can no longer be used as an apartment it has been cleaned out and turned into storage for maintnance men.

The mysstery thou was why was it even built and who lived there.

We found out it was rented aparently for free or big discount by a elderly  widow .

The Big Question is How did it get built and no one knew?

There is no way Fire prevention would have allowed it . Only one door out past a boiler room and bedroom was behind kitchen no way to escape if stove caught fire.

Like Fire Inpsector said . This would have ben a classic case of a fire entrapping some one and they being found days later because no one knew to search for her .

What ever the story the old owner has split town for florida and he is not talking .

The Tragic Story Behind Black Cross Cemetery in Winfield Twp Butler County Pa.

In late 1800s into early 1900s many immigrants like my Grandfather Markowitz came to this country to enrich their lives and help their family's back in the old country.

Many came from war torn country's or religious suppression and many other reasons .

My Grandfather the son of a peasant farmer came from Austria which at the time was part of the greater Austro Hungarian Empire.

Now when he came over he had a sponsor family who he lived with in Pittsburgh's South Side where he learned to bake and eventually retired from National Baking Company in East Liberty .

He had a good life and lived the American Dream . Owning a home and raising 2 sons and a daughter.

But not all Immigrants who came here had the same privilege. There where those who came from Poland and Slovakia  who came without sponsors as  was the case for those who would loose their lives during the Great Flu Pandemic in 1918  and are buried in mass graves at the for many years unmarked cemetery near Winfield Twp Pa.  in a very rural area  you can easily miss .

Luckily it passed over my grandfather but not for these men who came to work in the Lime stone mines  of Yellow Dog  , The salt works   and tile factory's and other industries  in Butler county.

While my Grandfather lived with a loving family and in sanitary conditions this was not the case for those who ended up in Black cross often it was crowded factory provided  housing  often unsanitary to boot.

The perfect conditions for a Killing spree by influenza.

The epidemic was so bad coffins with bodies where often stacked up outside funeral parlors with so many dying. 12 a day in butler county

In the winter of 1918 it hit Winfield especially hard.

Hundreds died  and with no one sponsoring them the body's started piling up.

To make matters worse many of these workers few possessions and personnel effects where not some times not returned to their family's overseas instead being stolen and split up between the workers and others who took advantage of the corpses .

Many times immigrants came to this country to only get killed in an industrial accident and word never got back to the family's and if it did it was often with no explanation.

With no sponsors and no family's the workers in Winfield ended up in mass graves in a Potters Field donated by a local farmer by the name of McLaughlin  and  5 to 20  or more buried in a grave with no  markers and no one knowing their names.

A Roman Catholic Priest Father O Callahan  had erected a large wooden cross made of Railroad Ties  which looked black from Creosote used on the ties  which gave the cemetery its name of Black Cross .

because many buried there where catholic.

A permanent marker and solid white concrete cross where erected on the site in 2002

I was there recently and the field is overgrown and a total disgrace to those who are buried there

The cemetery is also legend of Paranormal activity they claim they hear young children crying and people speaking Italian .

Its a very quiet solemn and sad place if you go be respectful.
